Four children find refuge on a secluded island formed by highway intersections. Pez, Riley, Grayson, and Gil create a community, learning to survive and build a sense of belonging amidst past traumas and escapes from difficult situations. Their fragile peace is shattered when they witness a dangerous event, forcing them to confront a threat that endangers their newfound home.
