Anushka, Nush, embarks on a journey from India to England to retrieve a stolen family heirloom: a large emerald taken by the British East India Company. Nush's father, the Maharaja, plans to appeal to Queen Victoria for help, but Nush, disguised as her brother, joins him, determined to take matters into her own hands. The story follows Nush's adventures in Victorian England as she navigates palace intrigue, uncovers secrets, and confronts the injustice of colonialism while trying to reclaim the emerald.
