Excellent book filled with danger around every corner really enjoyed it.

Eve - Kimberley School - 2018

Amazing, outstanding, heart-felt. Saddening but a little confusing on who's who. Amelia and Kirby's adventure on witches.

Grace - Kimberley School - 2018

Brilliant book for people who love fast-paced and adventure books! I would definitely recommend this book to others. I also liked how some people, including me, could relate to some things mentioned in the story.

Bashma - Fernwood School - 2018

This book is okay and I especially like the character Amelia as she is quite mysterious as she turns out to be a witch.

Samuel - Fernwood School - 2018

I loved this book , it was so creepy and descriptive which helped me to imagine the atmosphere of the book

Esther - Kimberley School - 2018

I thought that this book was really good and the plot was exciting and different to other books. Shadowsmith is a book for anyone who likes adventure!

Holly - Rushcliffe Spencer Academy - 2018

Wow! A fantastic read full of suspense and intrigue. I loved it and I couldn't put it down!

Rachel - Kimberley School - 2018

This was a great book! It shows the true meaning of brave and how even though someone's history may of been remarkably grim, they can always change their ways and wipe their slate clean.

Charlie - Kimberley School - 2018

Shadowsmith is a amazing book that does not just focus on the magic, it is also quite emotional. However, I think the choice of language could be improved.

Leo - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

I thought that this book was very easy to follow and a very fun read. There were parts that you expected something and the exact opposite of what you expected happened.

Similore - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

It was a really inspiring story to read. I found it hard to put the book down! A lot of suspense, as well as a cliffhanger at the end. It was truly amazing!

Thea - Ellis Guilford School - 2018

Excellent book. I love the mystery and adventure. The best book I have read so far.

Naomi - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

A great book with a good twist between being spooky and mysteriously clever. However I do wish that the third witch was the scariest not the second, other than that it is a great read and is great for children aged 9-11

Abigail - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

Shadowsmith was really good. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys magic and adventure.

Jessica - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

I think this book was ok, But I think some of the parts in the story are way too descriptive, especially the spider parts.

Jacob - White Hills Park Federation - 2018

It was rather weird to start off with and then all was revealed and it all made sense.

Martha - Kimberley School - 2018

Shadowsmith is a very good book and it was really interesting. I liked the realistic side of it mixed in with fiction side of the story.

Megan - The Suthers School - 2018

It kind of made me throw-up (a little bit) but I still enjoyed it. It's about where a boy called Kirby and her sister, Amelia Pigeon journey to find the Standing Stones to find out what happened to his mum in the past. Will he discover something new or has his mum died?

Fatimah - Carlton Le Willows Academy - 2018

It is a very interesting book and different to any other books I have read before .It isn't a common story line for a horror / mystery book as I don't think I have seen or heard about anything to do with witches and spiders. However there are some typical horror elements which recreates the feeling of horror.

Aamina - Carlton Le Willows Academy - 2018

This book has a different approach to the horror genre for books. This book doesn't include normal horror situation but a unique issue throughout. The plot wasn't rushed in and didn't have a complicated ending. I would definitely recommend this book even if they don't enjoy horror books.

Matt - Hall Park Academy - 2018

Shadowsmith is a book about confronting your fears, and fighting them to overcome them. It's primarily a horror story, with some short character development arcs, mostly to build up to the dramatic reveal at the end. It's a good book.

Olivia - All Saints Catholic Voluntary Academy - 2018

It was a really good book with danger around every corner. I liked the character Amelia and the way she is mysterious. i also liked the way that Kirby develops from a scared little boy to a brave, kind teenager.

Jacob - All Saints Catholic Voluntary Academy - 2018

A mysterious book with twists and turns around every corner and dark secrets to be found.

Alex - Carlton Le Willows Academy - 2018

I love this book because of how unique it is and the plot is layed out extremely well. It makes you really think about what you're reading which is hard to do as an author. The only part of the book which I do not like is when Amelia leaves straight to another child showing no one is special which i think is a really demonetising. That is why this book deserves a 4 star review not 5.

Rachel - The Suthers School - 2018

This book was ok. The bit that caught my attention the most was when the spiders first gathered around Kirby. I would recommend it to people who like horror and being scared.
